ARTIST'S STATEMENT 2013 by Suzy Andron

I have taught and practiced art and interior design for forty years. I paint to enhance an environment and delight the viewer! It’s not only what a painting is – but where it’s going to live. It means adding creative splashes to a person’s home or to an office environment. It is about improving today’s experiences – not recording the past. My recent works have involved the recipient and careful investigation of where the piece will reside – studying the ambient and artificial lighting, the colors, textures and fabrics of the space. This approach blends all 40 years of art into the best for today…and tomorrow.
